Meet the Team

Olivier Culinary School (OCS), Centre for Continuing Professional Cooking, has been providing part-time Cookery and Pastry Courses, approved by the Mauritius Qualifications Authority (MQA), since May 2014.

 

Jean Olivier and his associate Chefs are Certified Trainers, passionate about cooking, and happy to share their savoir-faire and knowledge.  After graduating with a degree in Culinary Arts from the University of Taylor (Malaysia) and the Academy of Toulouse (France), Jean has achieved his dream by devoting himself to training others by sharing his expertise and experience.  His colleagues have more than thirty years of experience and have worked in 5* hotels around Mauritius and, after their retirement, have now turned to train others as well.

 

Their motto:  BE A CULINARY EXPERT.

The programmes are structured in a way to satisfy the requirements of learners willing to seek employment in the Tourism and Hospitality sector.  Yet, OCS is prepared to accommodate individuals who wish to join the course out of pure interest.

 

         Furthermore, OCS has re-designed its programmes to meet the increasing demand for people willing to work on cruise ships.
